Sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday. As some of you know, my tablet is shot. The charger area is not taking a charge. I've had it less than a year, so it's still under warranty, but I've really been running in circles with the Samsung folks trying to get it in for repair. I filled out a repair ticket, and then they sent me some cryptic email and closed my ticket. Now I've got a second request in, and I've been promised that the repair work will only take 4 days, but they have to START first!!!
Grrrr.
Anyway. So. Late blog post. No pictures.
Sorry.
This is week 3 of the #rwrunstreak Runner's World Run Streak. I've now been running every day for 14 days in a row. It's good stuff. Week 2 was much easier than week 1. And Rob and I ran the Christmas Town 8k dash, which was much fun.
Since my tablet's broken, I used the old iPad a few times this last week. It's such a dinosaur, but it does have the Sarah Kramer Go Vegan app on it, which I've pulled a few recipes from for this week.

Plan, November11-17
Excitement this week includes a check up at the vet for Little Jack, a vegan runner webinar, and of course more research. I am going back to running 4 days this week, because I feel like a better runner on my long runs when I've gotten out more frequently during the week. My hips were a little sore after last week's long run, so this week I am going to focus on foods rich in potassium.
My SIL, Rachel just shared with me that she's been trying to include one of my posted recipes in her meals each week (yaaaay, Rach!) so I tried to make sure to share the links of the recipes I am using ahead of time, here.
Run 3
Lentil Loaf with salad
Tuesday:
Run 2
Vietnamese Tofu Banh Mi Sandwich
Wednesday:
Run 4
Winesday
Vegan Chik'n &Dill Waffles (I still can't get the deliciousness of City o' City out of my head- and that was JULY). I'll post this recipe next weekend.
Thursday:
Yoga, afternoon walk
Choir Rehearsal, Rob will make dinner.
Friday:
Run 9.5
Saturday:
Walk
Sunday:
Rest day
Baked chili with cornbread biscuit topping
I'm reading Interworld by Neil Gaiman again, and Cari just lent me Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh, and still listening to good old HST. I'm really digging Matt Frazier's new No Meat Athlete Book. Also just picked up a couple by an incredible poet and spoken word artist, Buddy Wakefield: Live for a living and Gentleman practice. Haven't heard of him? Try this on for size- I promise you won't waste your time. Rob and I saw him live- he opened for Ani Difranco this past week and he blew us out of the water. Imagine a room of 350+ (mostly 20-something girl-power types) waiting patiently for Melissa Ferrik and Ani Difranco being wowed by a guy just talking. He had the crowd holding their breaths just to be able to hear him better. Amazing stuff.
As far as my research goes, I got my first draft of my research plan back with good feedback, and have been working on revisions- hopefully will have a new draft submitted on Sunday afternoon. I'm mired in the research of Miles & Hubermann, and looking for an issue of Time from 2005...

#veganmofo week plan September 15
Oh, thank goodness it is fall-like weather this week. I just can't eat soups and such when it's warm out. This chilly weather has me craving CHILLI, which I will make a big pot of on Monday and likely reheat for lunches all week.
I guess I am on a Sarah Kramer (#govegandotnet) kick this week, three recipes are hers.
Sunday:
Rest day
Late afternoon baked potatoes
Baseball game in the evening
Monday:
Run 3 miles
Cross train class at noon
Dinner is chilli and cornbread muffins. Will likely crock pot this.
Tuesday:
Run 2 miles
Gym/yoga class with Mia
Dinner is ginger seitan.
Wednesday:
Run 4 miles
Cross train class at noon
Dinner is black bean and sweet potato burritos.
Thursday:
Run 2 miles
Gym with Mia
Choir rehearsal, so dinner on the go is tempeh "chikn" salad. Last week I didn't eat prior to rehearsal, and my belly was GRUMBLING!
We are headed up to Ocean City next weekend, so I will do my long run Saturday. 7 miles on the boardwalk! It looks like it will warm up by the weekend. A new vegan restaurant, My Nature, opened up there this past spring, which I am anxious to try.
Currently reading Full Dark No Stars by Stephen King, and The Likeness by Tana French.
